At about 8:30 last night I tweeted this:

With Tulsa and Texas losing right now, the Bees might win on their night off.

When I sent that out the Oilers were losing 3-0 to Wichita and the Brahmas were down 3-rip to Allen. At that point it looked like the Bees would enter tonight’s game just one point behind Tulsa and two behind Texas.

Oops.

The Thunder did end up winning 3-0, but the Brahmas gave the Bees a nice kick in the gut by rallying to tie their game at 3 and send it to a shootout. There, they beat Allen 7-6 in a shootout, growing their lead over the Bees to 4 points.

If not for that rally, the Bees would be in very good shape for tonight. They still didn’t do bad on their night off but it could have been a lot better.
